Is there documentation on how to do this?

Is there source, tar.gz, or .zip to download?

I am a researcher working with Native American communities in Oregon, USA. I'm currently using SIL Fieldworks for databasing lexica and text-based materials. I am also using Elan for creating annotated multi-media. Ideally, I would just have one system which searches, processes, and connects my different sorts of data. LAT seems to offer such a system.

The communities I work with would be uncomfortable with data being stored in a "cloud" situation on someone else's server. This would require me to create and maintain our own infrastructure.

I looked at the LAT Deployment Package but I didn't see Lexus as part of that package. I also saw that that package is intended to be used with VMware. I do not currently have VMware (but it could be obtained if need be). I do run Ubuntu. If I already have a Linux envrionment, maybe a tar.gz or .zip is all I need?

thanks for any advice

Jedd Schrock
