LAMUS numbers my document!

Posted by lmtoconnor at 2010-06-28 16:10

I keep uploading and linking a document named (let's say) Introduction.pdf.

LAMUS sends me an OK message, but when I check the archive, the document is named Introduction_2.pdf. I delete, re-upload, re-link -- same story.

Today I tried just renaming the document, from Introduction_2.pdf to Introduction.pdf... and LAMUS re-named it Introduction_3.pdf !!! I see a dangerous trend here, one that can only end badly for us all.

Please help me before I'm up to Introduction_9999999999999999999.pdf. Thank you - Loretta
Hi Loretta, you already give the answer yourself: By uploading the document multiple times, you force lamus to rename it, to avoid name clashes. However, as you also delete old versions, not so many numbers should get used up. If this is still a problem, please give some more details about in which corpus and with which document it happens. Thanks! Eric
