ELAN 3.6.0 released
This release introduces an extensible Audio Recognizer framework for semi-automatic segmentation and annotation.
ELAN now offers the possibility to integrate recognizers that create segmentations with an audio file as the data source. Included in this release is a Silence Recognizer that produces segmentations based on silence vs. non-silence fragments in a .wav file. Part of the framework is the option to convert segmentations to tiers and annotations in a customizable way. An API has been designed and is available as a download bundle that also contains an example project. Other new features are the merging of two annotations, the merging of two tiers and a "ticker" mode in the Timeline viewer.
