This version provides preliminary support for ISO Data Categories and simplifies creating and applying a translation for ELAN's user interface.
The ISO Data Category Registry (DCR) is an ISO initiative towards the establishment of standards for and improvement of interoperability in Language Resources. ELAN now offers options to add references to linguistic concepts defined in the DCR from tiers, annotations and entries in a controlled vocabulary. More information on the DCR can be found at www.isocat.org. Translations for the user interface can now be made and immediately applied by copying and editing two properties files (containing key-value pairs) to a fixed location where ELAN can find them. The translation can then be selected in the Options -> Language menu.
