Hello,
A number of my students cannot open files in praat when using ELAN despite having downloaded sendpraat.
The following error message came up for one student:
Cannot open file "C:\Users\Tuso\Pictures\SAUDIA~1\selection-5".
LongSound not created
Script line 11 not performed or completed
<< Open long sound file... 'filepath$'>>
Script "C:\Users\Tuso\.elan_data\openpraat-v3.praat" not completed.
Script line 1 not performed or completed:
<< execute C:\Users\Tuso\.elan_data\openpraat-v3.praat
C:\Users\Tuso\Pictures\SAUDIA~1\selection-5 >>
Script "C:\Users\Tuso\Praat\Message.txt" not completed
Praat: message not completely handled.
I would appreciate any assistance in understanding this problem and finding the solution to it.

- The problem is due to the white space in the folder name starting with "SAUDIA". Refer http://www.lat-mpi.eu/tools/elan/elanforum/post201108032800543280 for detailed explanation and solution. If this doesn't solve your problem, report back.
