Problem with back-up file

By mistake I deleted part of a transcript. If I want to open the automatic backup file (001.eaf, transformed into extension .eaf), I can open the file, but it is empty (no tiers, no types). If I add the link to the media file, then, the problem remains the same. I would be EXTREMELY thankful if someone knew a solution to this problem, please let me know!

If the backup file is really empty (no tiers, no types, they are not just invisible) then there is nothing that can be done, I'm afraid. If you open the .eaf file in a text editor, is there anything at all in the file?
