ELAN 3.9.1 overwrites time series configuration files
Greetings,
ELAN 3.9.1 seems to overwrite existing timeseries viewer configuration files (*_tsconf.xml) when loading the associated eaf file.
This can be reproduced on both the OSX and Linux version:
1. Start ELAN 3.9.1
2. Load an EAF that has a CSV file (or similar) as a linked file. The timeseries viewer should appear.
3. Add some tracks to the timeseries viewer using the "Configure Tracks" feature
4. Save
4.a) Check the $NAME_tsconf.xml, it now contains the appropriate track definitions (with $NAME being the base name of the EAF file)
5. Close the EAF, leave ELAN open
6. Open the EAF again
7. $NAME_tsconf.xml will have been overwritten by an XML file that only contains basic headers. The tracks configured in step 3 no longer appear in the tsconf.xml file or time series viewer. This overwrite happens automatically when the EAF is opened in ELAN, saving the file is not necessary.
Obviously this makes the use of the timeseries viewer rather difficult. Is there any way to get around this behaviour?
Cheers,

Re: ELAN 3.9.1 overwrites time series configuration files
Hmm, I kind of recognize the described problems, but then as one I thought was solved.
In fact, on my Mac I have problems reproducing your situation. If I open or create an eaf, link a CSV file, configure some tracks, save the whole lot and open it again, the tracks are there. I close the eaf and open it again and the tracks are still there.
Maybe I am missing a crucial part in the workflow? (And, silly questions maybe, this really is about 3.9.1 not 3.9.0?)
