My colleagues from Pisa have tried to use the 3.8.1 Windows XP version for our work looking at timing between pitch accent and gesture. <br><br>After extracting the .wav file from the .mov file, working on it in Praat and then re-importing it, the annotations seem correct but the audio timing is not. If we select a section of approximately 200 ms. before or after the target section, the audio signal played is exactly the same as that of the target section.<br><br>Can you help?<br>Diane<br><br><br>

Difficult to say. .mov should be played by QuickTime (if found); when you right click on the video and select Player Info you can see which media player is playing the file. Can you confirm that this is QuickTime?
(I would expect that the QuickTime player should play the selection correctly.)
The sound that you hear stems from the first media file in the list, even if this is a video. You could make the .wav file the "master media" via Edit->Linked Files and check if that improves the playback of audio segments.
