Working with controlled vocabulary

Posted by annalena at 2010-04-14 17:16

We are currently considering using a controlled vocabulary (CV) for transcription of our sign language corpus, to ensure consistency in choice of glosses for signs. However, this CV would be created gradually and glosses added now and then. As each new item added to the CV ends up at the bottom of the list it will mean quite a lot of work to keep the list in alphabetical order (by moving each item up and down in the list with the buttons) - and having the list in a more or less random order is far from ideal either. My question is therefore - is it possible to sort the items in the CV (in alphabetical order) after having added new glosses?

Yes, obviously that would be useful feature. But, it is not implemented yet.
We'll add this functionality as soon as possible.

Really looking forward to that! Thank you,

Actually, should you decide to work on the CV-function something that would be really useful would be to be able to import/export from/to Excel, where all the necessary sorting could easily be done.
