Has _anyone_ got Elan to work with _any_ format on Linux?<br><br>Perhaps it would be good if there was a pure java version of Elan that worked on at least one format, then we could use a conversion program to get things running.<br><br>P<br><br>&nbsp;btw the same issue occurs on macs with our data format.&nbsp; Should we assume that Elan is really a Windows only system?<br>

Are we sure that the problem (still) is JMF, after trying Micha's solution? Could it be a mediaformat problem now? What infomation is there in the log file this time?
On the Mac every format supported by QuickTime can be used in ELAN. Can QuickTime play your file format?
There are, by the way, a lot of Mac + ELAN users...

Hi folks. Is there any progress on this front? I'm trying to run ELAN 3.9.0 on Ubuntu 10.04 and am running into the "No player could be created for..." error.

Here's some info from my log file:

jmmpegv loaded

java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError: /home/keduarte/Applications/ELAN 3.9.0/jmf__Vlin2.1.1fcs/libfobs4jmf.so: Can't load IA 32-bit .so on a IA 32-bit platform
at (tons of lines of java-related unknown sources)
