error in Find and Replace in Multiple Files

Posted by fraseif at 2010-03-15 14:37

When selecting all relevant tiers in the set of eaf files that I want to find and replace in (e.g. all transcription tiers, e.g. t@MM, t@JP, t@CAP, etc.), file inspection is not performed and I get long list of error reports à la "Query formulation exception: Can't find tier 't@CAP'
in file: /Users/frank/Documents/my papers/10-BoraDrum_DGfS/ProsoMangCorpus/mang_zapat.eaf" and "Summary:
Number of files in domain: 95
Number of files inspected: 0
Number of files changed: 0
Number of files failed: 95".
It only works when I select only files in which the tiers I want to search have exactly the same name (e.g. t@CAP), but this reduces the functionality of "Find and Replace in Multiple Files" drastically.
Best - Frank.

Yes, this is most unfortunate. If one of the selected tiers is not found in a file, an exception is generated and that particular file is not processed. Apart from that the "Number of files inspected" counter is not increased (but this is a minor issue).
This bug will be fixed in the next release.
