I am running ELAN 3.8.1 on Windows XP.
I´m getting no sound with Videos in ELAN. All Videos obviously have sound in any other installed media player.
Does anyone know about this problem.
Any hint welcome.

Is this always with the same type of video? It might be a problem with a codec in that case? You might want to have a look at the "filters" in use as listed in the log file (<user_home>\.elan_data, the log is named elan0.log or elan1.log etc.) after closing ELAN?
(Assuming the volume slider in the Controls tab hasn't been set to 0 by accident; this setting is stored and restored as a user preference).

Thanks a lot - for the mpg-files it was in fact a codec problem.
