I don't see anything that is clearly wrong in the log. The only thing somehow irregular is the player that is created for the .wav file. Normally when you have two video files and a wav file, the sound will be played using the first video, the wav will only be used for visualisation. I'm not saying that the problems you are experiencing are related to this, I don't know. I'm not familiar with problems with this particular AVI Splitter.
I know that sometimes the driver of the video card can mess things up (!). This could be something to try; upgrade (or maybe downgrade) the driver of the video card.
