Yet more initialization problems
I can no longer open my eaf or mov files in ELAN. ELAN hangs on initialization. I am using Vista and was able to open these files on this computer recently. Any advice? (If advice involves checking the log, please provide instructions on how to do so). <br>

The problem could either be a corrupted eaf file or the media player. Has anything changed with respect to the QuickTime player (for .mov the QT player is used)?
It is indeed best to check the log file. Try to open the file till it hangs, then exit ELAN. The log file can be found here:
<user_home>\.elan_data\elan0.log
Could also be elan1.log etc., check the timestamp to find the right one. You can post it here (or at least the part containing the errors).
