I am looking for some templates for Elan which I can input together with an audio file to try out some of the more basic features of this program without having to create my own template. Are there any premade resources available for this?

You could download some templates from the third party resources page, together with some example files (http://www.lat-mpi.eu/tools/elan/thirdparty, first item, video oriented though). Or download the example sets from the ELAN download page?
