multi tier mode in The Grid Viewer on Mac

Hi, I found ELAN is very helpful for conversation and gesture analysis, and I begin to write some manuals and TIPS for Japanese users on my site:

One question. I try to use multiple tiers in The Grid Viewer, but I found only "empty" tier on the list when I check "enable multi tier mode" button. Does anybody know the solution? I use MacBook (Intel) , Mac OS 10.4.9 and QuickTime 7.6.

The current implementation is such, that only tiers that have at least 1 depending tier of type "Symbolic Association" are listed in the tier selection box. The multiple tier option for the Grid viewer was added with the idea that annotations with one-to-one related child annotations can be presented well in tabular form. Listing only tiers with such child tiers is meant to help the user, but some might prefer to have all tiers listed anyway. This could be a user preference option, maybe.

Thanks for the efforts your putting into the manuals etc. for Japanese users, much appreciated.

Thank you for your quick response.
Yes, I think it would be convenient to view the annotations of all visible tiers line by line, without considering the relationship between the tiers for simle analysis.
