Dear Han,
I experience some problems with my eaf files. I have transcribed my data using different versions of ELAN (3.2.0, 3.6.0, and i am currently using 3.7.0)and eventhough the eaf file is in the same folder as the mpegs etf and pfsx, i cannot open them. To be precise three things happen when i try to open the eaf files. The first allows for a popup which says that this application is not valid, the second starts to initialize but just goes on forever and does not provide any outcome and the last one opens the file with the mpeg video view present but without any template or transcription on the screen. Do you have any suggestions regarding any other ways of trying to open the files?

Dear Lena,
This is difficult to explain. In principle, newer versions of ELAN should be able to open eaf files created with previous versions.
It seems the problem is in the media file handling rather than in the eaf file. Could it be that new codecs have been installed?
If this only happens with 3 eaf files, you may send these files to me; I could then check if there is anything wrong with those files.
