some suggestions

i admire your program each day i use i find it more and more useful, thanks again building up a so useful project and sharing it with people.
i also support your ide of making the shortcuts user definable and i would like to request a few further points:

- is it possible to divide the play/pause command in 2 and put them seperately as single "play" and "pause" commands? this would be of great easiness at some vital points

- would you also add a new command for "play the selection from its beginning"

- for the point ive posted a few days ago regarding "capturing time from within the annotation box", i'm making ocr on the current time. now i developed a system nearly perfect and fast responding but as the size of the timecode font is very small, i sometimes get wrong results. is it possible to make the timecode numbers a little bit larger?

i've been using elan and i guess i will request more in near future. i guess i wont diturb you much...?!

- as an addition to my wish list, i see that it will be useful if the text you see within the annotation box could "wrap" to the second line, when is comes the end of the first line. This way, the probability of seeing the whole of the annotation text within the boundaries would be doubled!

- as for some "bugs" i guess, when i type in annotations while the media playing in the background, sometimes i see that i'm typing in at a different annotation from that i begun writing!! sometimes this happens when i press "Backspace" and the program tries to scroll timeline to the left. i expect a solution to this for a smoother and less problematic use of the application.

... and
- you can extend the usefullness of "grid" view, if "wrapping" is applied here as weel. this might be adding a second line to the current grid line of the annotations.

- i go to "media synchronisation mode" from "annotation mode" and modify the offset, everything is perfect. but when i return to "annotation mode" back, i am not at the place where i left. this might be a minor issue but would be appreciated if handled.

- can you also provide with us an instant command that can divide the current annotation into two equal parts and put the current note on the first part..?? i dont want to make it by using mouse and making several clicks etc. which reduces the speed of my progress and disturb my concentration on the media...

- please also consider, may be within the "edit preferences - editing" section, putting a checkbox to turn on and off the tooltips that appear everywhere even if i never use them. yes, i see they carry useful information but i dont need them always.

- when in loop mode, and listening/watching media over and over again, program each time sets off from the beginning trying to "re-invent the media at hand", and lose very valuable miliseconds that leads problems i guess both for the shortcuts and the timeline scrolls. i dont know how to, but i strongly advice you to develop the "loop mode replaying algorithm" so as to give minimal burden to the overall system. you already have the played part at hand by way of its begin-end times. may be, this instant data could be stored in a kind of buffer on the first run and read from there for the further loops. the size of this buffer would of course be related to the length of the loop... im sure you know much much than me, but i just want to give some useful idea...

Thanks very much for all the suggestions. Some of them will be easy to implement, others will take more time or conflict with other requests. We'll see what we can do. About the bug:

I haven't been able to reproduce that yet. Of course this shouldn't happen and I'll try to fix this if the bug is found. -Han
