Hi,<br><br>Elan always seems to add \block when I am exporting to shoebox (whatever options I chose). I already have a \ref code that I want to use instead of \block. Is there anyway of avoiding this \block being added, or do I just have to remove it manually in a text editor?<br><br>thanks,<br><br>Isabel<br>

Have you tried the "Export as Toolbox" option? If you only have top-level tiers with names of the form "ref@xxx", this should be detected automatically by the export function and "ref" should be used as the record marker.
If not, it is possible to specify any record marker you like.
