Annotation problem
Hey there,
I'm using ELAN 3.5.0 with Mac OS 10.4.11. I'm trying to add annotations to new tiers, but when I open the "Edit Annotation" box, no cursor appears and none of the text I enter appears in the box.
I'm sure there's some very obvious step that I'm missing, but as far as I can tell, I'm doing exactly what the manual and the quick-start guide instruct, so I'm a bit puzzled and frustrated. Any tips would be very helpful.

It seems that sometimes the edit box loses the "focus" immediately after it has been created. The box then does not receive the key board input. Normally clicking in the box should help, but it is annoying to have to do this. Since this problem is not always reproducible, it is difficult to fix. You could try ELAN 3.6; some changes have been made with respect to focus problems, but I'm not sure about this one.
