hey, <br>I just have a short question, in ELAN 2.4, I could work with wmv media files without any problems.<br>The new release tells me that no player can be created for the wmv video files when I want to open my old files and only the annotations come up. <br>I also can not create new files with wmv data. Do I need a special codec or would you recommend to convert all files into mpeg? How can I still use my old files in the new version?<br>change bitrate?<br>Thank you very much<br>Best<br>Annika<br>

ELAN doesn't do (or at least shouldn't do) anything special with wmv files, it just hands them over to the media player, like other files. So, are you sure that on the same system ELAN 2.4 does play wmv and ELAN 3.x does not?
I can play the few wmv files I have with the current ELAN version. Anyway, you should not need to convert or change bitrates of your files, as far as I know.
