crosshair selection!
beginner!
when i wanna make a video with annotations in the timeline. I play the movie and want to skip longer in to the movie using the crosshair. the video continues like nothing happened, but the crosshair plays from where i put it.
so the video doesent skip to where i want it to. but the crosshair does!
please help me. i'm a graduate and need this to work.

Which platform are you working on(mac/ windows 7/ windows xp/....) and what is the format of the video file?

i'm using windows 7
video format: divx which is converted to a .eaf i believe.

It could be that the codec for divx does not support "random" positioning of the player and/or does not properly update the video image.
If you right click on the video there is an option Show Filter Graph. What "filters" are in the list?
Did you check the behavior with a different kind of video file (e.g. an example set from our website)?
