Why can't I merge Tiers?
I've tried every different way I can think of to merge tiers, and it doesn't seem to be doable. I need to merge my transcription with my gloss, concatenating the values so I end up with labels I can export to audacity in the form transcription-gloss. But - I can never get the tiers to merge! I'm copied the tiers so they are all independent, and all have identical timing, but nothing seems to make them want to merge. When I merge tier groups I don't end up with the merged values either. What can I do?<br><br>Muskwatch.<br>

So far I've not been able to reproduce the problem; any two tiers that I select can be merged, with concatenated annotation values. Therefore it is difficult to advise. You already copied the tiers to merge (which isn't really necessary), that rules out possible failures based on tier types.
If you wish you can send the file to me, so that I can try to reproduce the problem (han.sloetjes AT mpi.nl)? Maybe something else is interfering?
