Customizing the ELAN window

Posted by mfn3 at 2011-04-16 00:42

Hi,

I have been using ELAN for a different purpose which is to analyze some video from an engineering standpoint to divide jobs into work task and sub-tasks, etc and found the software to do exactly what I would like after I understood all the linguistic terms.

My questions is weather the Controls tab that are usually displayed in the top right corner could be closed. During annotation I have no use for the Grid, Text, Subtitles as i find it a distraction. Using View-> Viewer I am able to remove all the tabs except controls and would like to know if this can be eliminated as well.

Thank you in advance.

In the current situation it is indeed not possible to remove the Controls tab. We could consider to make this also possible. But in several parts of the program it is simply assumed that these controls are always there, so it might just be too much work to implement this. We'll check.

Thanks for your help.

Its not a problem to have the controls there, but felt there was no harm in asking if it was possible.
