I wanted to underline a word or write it cursive, but I couldn't find the operation. Also I need line numbers in the print-out of the transcript. How can I paste it?

Underlining or using italics for individual words is not supported in ELAN. It is possible to set a font for a whole tier, but applying these kind of decorations to individual annotations not.
Printing (or exporting) line numbers has not been implemented so far, but could be added to the request list.
