graphic board recommendations?

Are there any requirements or recommendations concerning the graphic board of the computer in connection with ELAN?
At the moment I do have troubles when playing two videos and sound at the same time. The files are synchronised and do show synchronically when scrolling through the timeline. But when pressing play, one of the videos starts dropping out and running ahead quite seriously.
I work with PC (2 x 1,66 GHz; 2GB RAM, Windows XP) and the 3.9.0. Version of ELAN. The graphic board is a 2x Mobile Intel(R) 945GM Express Chipset Familiy which allows to plug in a second monitor.

Hi, to play two videos at the same time, you probably do indeed need
a graphics card with hardware MPEG acceleration or similar. According
to the web, 945GM (GMA950 series) has acceleration, but at least in
Linux it gets weaker if total desktop size (laptop plus ext screen)
gets more than 2048 pixels high or wide. According to wikipedia, the
945GM chip only has limited hardware acceleration, but you can look
on the same page to see which newer Intel chips have more power:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Intel_GMA#Specifications
(GMA 900, 950, 3000, 3100: limited MPEG2, GMA 3150: full MPEG2,
GMA 500, 600, HD: full MPEG2 and VC-1 and AVC (e.g. MPEG4) and
GMA X3000, X3100, X3500, 4500: partial MPEG2 / VC-1 / AVC accel.)
You do not need a specific model, but you can use two heuristics:
Built-in Intel graphics chips often focus on saving battery power,
so laptops with dedicated ATI or Nvidia graphics chips usually do
have faster graphics and draw more power. Still, a newer Intel GMA
might already be fast enough for viewing two videos in your case.
It also depends on your graphics drivers and the video libraries
used by ELAN whether all available hardware acceleration actually
is used. You should consider updating your XP graphics drivers.
