importing .wav file (not)

Posted by tony_carr at 2010-03-30 14:53

On attempting to open a .wav file I get an error message which says
File 'Path.wav' is not a correct file

I have removed all spaces in the path. Is there anything else I can do to resolve this?

Thanks

Figured out - that the media file is imported in producing a New project (not by Opening a file) Slightly counter intuitive but working.

Yes, maybe "New Annotation Document" and "Open Annotation Document" would be more self explaining (but a bit long). But that is actually the kind of file one is creating or opening. ELAN contains a media player rather than being one. (And yes, when a media file has been selected in the "Open..." window, a new annotation document could be created implicitely. Maybe in a future version.)
