Thank you for your answer! Now I have backup copies. Still there were some problems that I had to sole. I don't kown whether I can explain this so that you understand but I'll try. When I several months ago saved my firs work I created the new folder through Elan (the little box in the right of the Elan's save as window "Create New Folder"). So I stored all my work in this folder. Always when using Elan I could open my previous works from this folder. But when I wanted to find this same folder for examlpe throug "My Computer" I coldn't find this folder anywere. Like the folder didn't exist. Therefor I couldn't make any backup copies either. So yesterday I saved all my works in totally new foldre that I had created without Elan. Just now I can find my previous work ".eaf" fils in my computer and make backup copies. This is quite mysterious but some how my computer didn't recognize the folder that I created through Elan.<br><br>Best wishes,<br>Laura<br>

Hmm, that is peculiar. Normally the new folder is created in the directory that is "open" or visible at that particular moment in the save dialog. Well anyway, as long as you know where the files are now...
