Import csv to current eaf
Hi,
I've got a series of elan transcription files which contain a variety of video, audio and timeseries data along with a number of coded tiers. I've produced a csv file of annotations based on some other data (motion capture) which I would like to import into the current project. If I import using the import function in the file menu it seems that a completely new transcription file is made. I tried merging this file with the old one, but this then looses all the media. Is there a way to simply add the data in the csv to the current transcription project?

Currently this import function always creates a new file. We could change that in the future, if we have some time, such that it is also possible to import into the current document. The current solution has been chosen for reasons of safety and convenienc. Importing into the open document requires resolving naming conflicts of tiers and types, implementing undo/redo etc.
If you would merge the two transcriptions and pick the existing one as the first source, the links to the media will be retained.
