3.8.0 Strange Behaviour

Posted by sbattersby at 2009-11-14 11:29

Hi,
I'm using ELAN 3.8.0 under Windows 7. There are times where the red bar shoots to the end of the timeline. I'm not clear on exactly when this happens, but I think I'll have a code selected, try to play it and then I find that almost all of my timeline is selected. Also, the horizontal scroll bar does not then scroll back.. If I try to scroll the timeline sort of flashes but the time doesn't change! I have to deselect everything and then work my way back to the code I was trying to work on.

The java version I'm on is 1.6.0_16 64bit

I'll try to be clearer if necessary (I'm thinking I might need to video record the screen).

Thanks

Stuart

oh, perhaps I'm not on that Java version. It seems that ELAN bundles a JRE with itself..rather than the system one.

I actually have this same problem with the 3.8.1 version. Sometimes when I've made an annotation, and then press 'play', the crosshair shoots to the end of the video.
