shortcuts issue macOSX

Hello,

I'm using ELAN 3.8.0 on mac os x 10.5.6.

With your standard shortcut mapping, a mac user gets problems when starting a new annotation pressing alt-N.
This shortcut is the macosx-shortcut for the dead key tilde (~), so you have to press the first letter of annotation twice or you will alternatively get a 'tilded' letter.

It won't be possible to account for any os-shortcut-setting - it's just for your information.
Perhaps you could inform MacOSX-Users about this - for them, it would save much time.

We solved the problem by setting the 'new annotation'-shortcut to cmd-N.

Yes, thanks for pointing that out once more. That is one of the reasons that the shortcuts can now be changed. Most alt+<X> combinations had already an alternative, exactly because there were problems on the MAC. ELAN runs on 3 platforms, on each there can be specific problems with shortcuts. Making the shortcuts editable is the best we can do overcome these problems, I believe.
