no video after appr. 60% viewing time mac 10.5.7
Hi,
I have encountered this problem on my mac 10.5.7, using Elan 3.7.2-1 (and 3.7.2). I was annotating a video that was playing well, but somewhere at appr. 50-60% of the video, I was not able to see the video anymore, it gave me a black screen. This is what happens: when I pause the video, the image returns, but when I want to play again, the video doesn't show, it just shows a black screen. I have tried this with another video file, and the same happens. Any solution? Thanks in advance.

I installed Elan 3.6.0 and the problem seems to have disappeared. But the quality of the video playback is a little bit worse than in the newest Elan.

In the case of 3.7.2(-1) was this with the Cocoa based player, or QuickTime for Java? I've seen the problem before, but only when using QT for Java.

Thanks for your reply.
Hmm, how can I check that? I presume that it is Quicktime with Java. I am on Leopard by the way. It is an xvid video file, and I have installed Perian to handle the codecs.

You can check by right-clicking on a video and selecting "Player info" form the popup menu. One of the items displayed is the Media Framework.

Ah yes, thanks. It is indeed Quicktime for Java Media Player. Do you think there will be a solution soon? For now, it's fine to work with 3.6.0 but I don't know if I'm going to miss new functionalities :-)
