Toolbox texts: incorrect tier alignment
Hallo,

I have a problem with the Toolbox/Elan interface which I cannot solve or explain alone. I hope someone knows more and can help me or at least someone may have a similar problem.
It is the following: When I import a toolbox file I use the related typ-file. There are several tiers, however, only the first one, the text-tier is wide enough so that it can be read. The following and associated tiers are somehow compressed to circa 2/3 of the text-tier width. Strangely, the tiers which are not related in terms of symbolic subdivision to the parent tier have the same width as the parent tier. I have already tried to apply the changing of the boarders using the bulldozer mode, but it did not work. The connected tiers kept their width in relation to the parent tier. So I suppose the problem must be somewhere with the linguistic stereotypes. I want to draw attention to the fact that this error only occurred after I installed the new Elan release 3.7.2.

This is a screenshot of the Elan tier alignment problem:
http://dl.getdropbox.com/u/493862/Elan%20Screenshot.jpg

Can anyone help me please? I would be very thankful for help.

Best,

Juliane
Re: Toolbox texts: incorrect tier alignment
That doesn't look too good indeed. But it's difficult to tell where the import goes wrong. If you want you may send me the Tooolbox .txt file with the associated .typ file. Maybe I can find the cause in "debug mode" (han.sloetjes AT mpi.nl).
