Opening Selection with Praat
I have downloaded praat and the sendpraat.exe file. When I attempt to open a selection in Praat, Praat does in fact open but I get an error message and the selection does not open in Praat. Is there something I am missing?

What kind of error message is it that you see? Can you post it here?
At this point, did you already see the prompt asking you to tell ELAN where sendpraat is?

I'm also unable to open selection in praat in elan. I've tried it on 2 computers with latest versions of both programs and get same result. The first time I am asked to locate praat.exe and sendpraat.exe, and locate them fine. Praat loads, but the following message appears:<br><br>Cannot open file C:\DOCUME~1\(path to the wav file)<br>Long sound not created.<br>No object was put into the list.<br>Script line 11 not performed or completed:<br><<Open long sound file... 'filepath$' >><br>Script C:\DOCUME~1\Steve\LOCALS~1\Temp\\openpraat-v2.praat not completed.<br>Script line 1 not performed or completed:<br><<execute (path to openpraat-v2.praat as above) (path to wav file)>><br>Script C:\Documents and Setting\Steve\Praat\Message.txt not completed.<br>Praat: message not completely handled.<br><br>I have the .elan_data folder where it should be, but openpraat-v2.praat is not there, it's in the Temp folder in User/Local Settings as you can see above.<br><br>That's all the information I have. Any help would be appreciated.<br>
