problem with exporting data to excel

problem with exporting data to excel

Hello,
I export the date from ELAN as tab-delimited text and open the new file with excel. In excel I can see the complete data, but the problem is, that some cells are not in the correct position.
So what goes wrong?
(I'm using windows and ELAN 3.4.0).

Could it be that some of the annotations contain either tab or new line characters?
That can cause annotations to be shown in the wrong cell and even in the wrong row.
You might try the tab delimited export of ELAN 3.7; new line characters are replaced by white spaces (I'm not sure about tabs, though).

- That's it! I deleted the new line characters and now everything is fine.
