using different media file

Posted by flipmann at 2009-01-24 20:24

I've started annotating a video trio of three different views of the same event (aligned in Final Cut Pro). But I've realized that the trio I made isn't quite synched, so I would like to change my media file but still retain all of my annotations. How would I go about doing that?

Thanks,
Emily
You can clip the media files and later re-synchronize the annotations in ELAN through the menu Annotation -> Shift All Annotations. Especially if you know the difference between the old and new media clipping (in frames or milliseconds) it should be easy to re-align the annotations. Shift All Annotations accepts only milliseconds, so you might have to recalculate.
