We have been working on a feature that was called 2D annotation, making it possible to add simple graphical shapes (rectangles, ellipses, lines) to segments (read: annotations) that would be shown on top of the video.
It was more or less functional but has never been advertised nor documented. The implementation was built on Quick Time (with a JMF alternative) but after a certain update of Quick Time (I forgot the version number), some of the functionalities did not work anymore (or at least not reliable enough).

So, at this moment this is not stable enough to be used and the "graphics allowed" checkbox is best kept unticked. As soon as we have been able to solve the technical problems we will announce and document it.
