search multiple eaf
I have annotated videos and would now like to use search function. Search windows worked fine with a set of eaf files, however, it does not for another set of eaf files. These two groups of data are in separate folders. Since they are in the same parent folder, I don't know why it does not work for the second set. When I try search>search multiple eaf, define search domain, and type the searched-for word, it says "Document root element is missing."

The error message seems to indicate that there is something wrong in one of the files. Normally this should be detected when changing the search domain and a message should inform the user which files can not be read and therefore will not be searched. It seems (but I could be wrong) that there is an error in a file that is not detected when changing the domain but only when the actual search is performed.
Can all the files in the particular folder be opened in ELAN? If there are not too many files in there, that could be a way to find out which file is erroneous.
