Integrating Time Series Viewer?

Integrating Time Series Viewer?
Hello!

I wonder if it is possible to show time series data as a tier, rather
than in a separate window? Having time series data in a separate window
makes it quite hard to see the time series data properly aligned to the
tier notations. From my point of view, that is important, since the
reason in the first place why I would use time series data (from a
motion capture device) is to be able to do more precise analysis.

If this is not currently possible, I wonder if it is planned for future
releases? ...and in that case, if there is any idea when that might
happen?

Also, I had to open the .eaf file in a text editor to be able to remove
time series data again from the .eaf file. Removing it from within ELAN
didn't really do anything, but the links to the data were still there.

Best regards,
Re: Integrating Time Series Viewer?
There are no plans to visualize time series data in the same area as the annotations in the Timeline viewer. It is planned however, to have the Timeseries viewer integrated in the main window somehow, e.g. in the area of the Waveform viewer if there is no such viewer, or sharing this area with the Waveform viewer. That would make the alignment much clearer.
All viewers show the time selection and that is currently the best way of viewing the alignment with the annotations.
There seems to be a bug in removing the timeseries file. But if you remove only the timeseries file in the Linked Files window, click apply and save the transcription, the next time you open the file, the Timeseries viewer should be gone. (You can then remove the remaining configuration file through the linked file window.)
