dear all, could someone give me an idea of how much harddisk memory would be required to save approx. 1 mio tokens of spoken data? many thanks in advance, cfandrych

This is difficult to estimate; I think the largest file that I have seen is about 8 Mb. and contains approx. 20000 annotations, part of them containing multiple words. Just as an indication.
You'll probably have to increase the max. memory assigned to ELAN to be able to store files of such size (if the tokens are in one file).

I just imported a shoebox file of about 200.000 tokens and this resulted in an EAF file with a size of 34 MB<br><br>
