When I go to add new linguistic types, they do not show up as options when I go to assign linguistic types for new tiers.
I have tried closing and reopening the file.
I have also tried entering them manually into the xml file, which results in not being able to create new annotations.

The list of available ling. types in the Add/Change tier window is updated when a parent tier is selected. When no parent tier is selected only the ling. types with Stereotype "None" are in the list. As soon as a target parent tier has been selected all ling. types with stereotype "None" are removed from the list. It then depends on the type of the target parent tier which ling. types are listed. E.g. a tier of type symbolic subdivision or symbolic association can not have a time-alignable dependent tier.
