Quick Inter-coder reliability tricks?

Posted by kotis at 2007-07-12 21:46

I'm using ELAN to code about 8 hours of video of pairs in conversation, and I have 2 other coders. I wondered if anyone else had any tricks for importing, say, 3 sets of annotations on one video into an .eaf file that allowed me to see each annotator's work in a separate tier. Renaming the tiers in each coder's annotation file and then using Merge Transcription didn't do this, although I thought it might.

Thanks!

This is the way it should work, though. First use merge transcriptions to merge 2 of the files and then merge again with the third file.
Are there any error messages produced (maybe in the log file)?
