Hi, When can we expect a version of Elan that is Windows Vista ready?

We still have to test ELAN on Vista properly.
Preliminary tests on our Vista system indicate that the Webstart versions of ELAN 3.0 and 2.6.3 do work (when a JRE is pre-installed) and also that the installer of ELAN 2.6.3 works.
The installer version of ELAN 3.0 contains a Java 1.5 JRE package that fails to be installed succesfully, so it seems. (ELAN 2.6.3 contains a Java 1.4 JRE). This package is provided by the manufacturer of the application that we use to build our installers. It seems that we need an updated version of that package to be able to create an installer that succesfully runs on Vista.

Hi there,
upon download and installation of the Windows 3.1.0 Version of ELAN on a German Vista and its first program start, I get the error message "Launch Anywhere funktioniert nicht mehr". In the beginning not even the installation worked; now everything looks fine until I doubleclick the icon to launch the program. Then, the error message appears and the program aborts. Uninstallation via VISTA "Systemsteuerung" does not work neither.
Do you have any idea how I can solve this problem?

Problem Opening in Vista 64bit?
Hi,<br><br>I have just installed Elan but when I click on "New" the application closes. <br>Is this because I am trying to run Elan on Windows Vista (64bit)?
