2.1.1. Adding and removing remote locations
When you have got the the level in the Remote Corpus you wish to work in, then right click and select “Import to Local Corpus” (Figure 2.3 A). You will now have an exact mirror of your selected Remote Corpus in your Local Corpus pane (Figure 2.4 B)
You can also work on a corpus that is not part of the
Remote Corpus, by adding it yourself. Right click on the root of the
Remote Corpus and select “Add Remote Location”, paste the URL into the
pop-up box and select OK (Section 2.1.1 C). If all went
well the external corpus should show in the root of the Remote
Corpus.
This operation is also really useful if you need to
regularly visit a part of the Remote Corpus that is somewhat buried in
many sub corpus nodes. If you browse to the desired top node, right
click and choose “Copy”. Then go back to the root of the Remote
Corpus, right click, and as above, select “Add Remote Location”, then
once the Add Location pop-up box appears paste (ctrl-v) the URL into
the text box and click OK. The desired sub-corpus will now appear in
the root of the Remote Corpus.
In order to remove any of the corpora from the Remote Corpus root just right click on the unwanted corpus node and select Remove Remote Location. Remember, the Remote Corpus is only a graphical interpretation of the actual corpus, so don't worry that you will be deleting anything other than the symbolic graphical interpretation in your session of Arbil.
In order to remove a corpus from Local Corpus, right click on the unwanted corpus node, select “Delete” and press ok once you get the confirm delete pop-up window. Unlike “Remove Remote Location” in the Remote Corpus, the “Delete” function in the Local Corpus will physically delete the corpus.
